About Percipium Inc.

Enterprise AI authorization infrastructure.

A Note from Our Founder

I started Percipium because I watched the same problem repeat throughout my career at Oracle, Amazon and working with global enterprises. Enterprises had clear rules about who could make which decisions, but no reliable way to enforce those rules once execution moved into software. As AI systems began acting rather than just recommending, that gap stopped being a technical inconvenience and became a board-level risk.

Percipium exists to close it. We’re building AI Decision OS™ — an independent authorization layer that lets enterprises extend the benefits of autonomous AI without losing control over which decisions their systems are actually permitted to make.

— Vasu S. Rao, Founder & CEO

Mission

Percipium Inc. was founded on a straightforward observation: enterprises are investing heavily in AI to improve speed, efficiency, and scale — and simultaneously discovering that the governance frameworks designed for human decision-making cannot keep pace with AI systems that act autonomously at machine speed.

Our mission is to build the independent authorization infrastructure — the control layer that enables organizations to extend the benefits of autonomous AI without compromising governance, accountability, or organizational trust.

Vasu S. Rao — Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Vasu S. Rao brings more than 25 years of enterprise leadership experience spanning Oracle, Amazon, Fortune 50 organizations, and multiple technology ventures. Throughout his career, he has operated at the intersection of enterprise transformation, AI platform engineering, governance, and executive decision-making.

At Oracle, he led product management for a major ERP portfolio supporting thousands of global enterprise customers across manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and the public sector. Working directly with board-level and C-suite leadership on enterprise transformation, he observed a recurring challenge: organizations maintained well-defined delegation-of-authority frameworks, yet translating those governance policies into consistently enforceable controls across increasingly automated systems remained difficult. Accountability often arrived only after irreversible commitments had already been made.

At Amazon, he led AI platform engineering supporting large-scale enterprise operations serving more than 1.6 million employees. It reinforced the importance of embedding governance into operational execution rather than relying solely on downstream audit and compliance processes.

Across these experiences, a consistent theme emerged: enterprise governance is only as effective as its ability to influence decisions before those decisions become irreversible actions.

As a three-time entrepreneur, active angel investor, and advisor to enterprise software, technology, healthcare, and deep-tech ventures, he has supported founders and executives with product strategy, organizational scaling, and governance challenges that emerge as companies grow beyond founder intuition.

Beginning in 2024, he saw autonomous AI systems evolve from assisting human decision-makers to initiating increasingly consequential enterprise actions. The governance pattern he had observed throughout his career suddenly became far more urgent. The gap between what organizations intend and what autonomous systems execute was no longer simply an operational challenge; it had become a board-level responsibility. Percipium Inc. was founded to provide the independent authorization infrastructure that helps enterprises close that gap.

Percipium Inc. is an enterprise infrastructure software company developing AI Decision OS™, an independent authorization layer for autonomous enterprise AI.

The Enterprise AI Inflection Point

AI systems are no longer limited to recommendations. Across industries, they are initiating purchases, authorizing transactions, adjusting clinical workflows, and reallocating supply chains — autonomously and at machine speed.

Enterprise governance was built for human decision-makers. Delegation-of-authority frameworks, approval hierarchies, and audit processes all assume human latency — time to review before an action becomes irreversible. That assumption is no longer valid. The gap between what organizations intend and what autonomous systems execute is the defining governance challenge of this era.

Why This Moment

  • AI agents are moving from advisory roles into autonomous execution across regulated enterprise environments.
  • Enterprise boards and regulators are establishing accountability frameworks that require pre-execution governance, not post-incident reporting.
  • Human review cannot scale to the speed and volume of autonomous AI decisions without eliminating the efficiency gains that justify AI investment.
  • Enterprise AI deployments increasingly span multiple cloud providers, platforms, and vendor ecosystems — no single vendor can govern the full footprint.
  • Independent authorization is emerging as a recognized category of enterprise AI infrastructure, distinct from AI observability, compliance reporting, and vendor-native guardrails.

Our Principles

Enterprise Authorization Infrastructure for the Autonomous Era.

Independent industry research reflects the urgency of this moment. Gartner (2026) identifies independent oversight layers as becoming essential components of enterprise AI architecture.
